continues its growth with increased distribution, and new Fall and Flowergirl
lines making Gigi’s the first line of shoes that can be customized with one simple
strap change. The first design of the new Fall collection features Mary Jane shoes
in nine warm and vivid colors including: Antique Brown, Dark Red Patent, Dark
Brown Patent, Black Nubok, Dark Pink Fuchsia, Brown Cheetah, Purple, Gold, and
Silver with approximately 300 strap styles to customize the basic shoes.
Straps are available in a wide variety of designs including sequins, glitter,
flowers, a collection of furry friends, and even a collection for bridal parties
and flower girls. With such a large selection, Gigi*s lovers will be sure to purchase
additional straps to match all their favorite clothes, prompting customers to
return to their favorite shoe store or boutique before outgrowing the shoe.

Tree on Broadway in New York to the Silver Spoon in California, and from Design
Rox in Houston to the Market on the Square in Tennessee, boutiques and shoe stores
are having fun with Gigi*s and praising the innovative concept . The concept for
Gigi*s emerged when “My wife
bought my daughter a new dress for a wedding and it didn’t quite match
her ‘matching’ shoes,” explains co-creator Ariel Rubalcava.
we quickly designed a costume strap and instantly we knew these shoes would
be perfect for little girls who love to accessorize, play dress-up, or add a little
pizzazz to a typically basic dress shoe. After
all, what little girl doesn’t love that?”
After inception
of this idea, the company conducted extensive market research directly with families
in various cities across the country. Both mothers and daughters alike were captivated
by the shoes; mothers loving the convenience and comfort factors and little girls
and ‘tweens loving the fun colors and playful designs.
Partnering with
a company with decades of experience in the shoe industry, Gigi*s shoes are durable and comfortable,
allowing active girls hours of playtime without worrying about blisters and sore
feet. The inside sole is cushioned for
comfort and support, and the backing is made of soft leather that doesn’t dig
into the heel. The non-skid rubber sole
helps prevent scuff marks on clean floors. The straps are handmade lending each piece exceptional design and high
quality.
Gigi*s handmade changeable straps attach to shoes through a sturdy
silver ring to ensure that shoes stay on the feet. A Velcro backing makes it simple for girls to
put on and take off their shoes or switch the strap to create a new look. Straps are available in four sizes, guaranteeing
that all designs are available for every girl aged 3-10, no matter her shoe size.
The straps are packaged in clear individual hanging sleeves that are compact
and easy to display.
With the phenomenal
growth, Gigi*s is offering additional
straps tailored to holidays and special occasions, such as a line for wedding
attire. With these customized straps, flower
girls and junior bridesmaids can have their own version of “dyed-to-match” shoes
